The population in Falmouth has decreased by more than 10 percent since 2010, this according to population records at town hall.
Falmouth town clerk Michael C. Palmer said a town population census is kept on a monthly basis based on the current number of registered voters and residents identified in the town’s street list.
As of May 24, Falmouth’s population was 27,696, Mr. Palmer said. The number represents an 11.7 percent decrease from the town’s recorded population of 31,367 in 2010. In 2006, the population in Falmouth was 31,174.
