Project Overview

  • Homes to be sold to low-moderate income working Falmouth families who qualify for their own mortgage, have a modest down-payment saved, and have good credit,
  • Houses built to the Energy Star standard utilizing green energy elements wherever possible including solar energy as funding allows,
  • One of the three houses will be visitable, adhering to 3-accessibility requirements:
    • one zero-step entrance (ramp),
    • doors with 32 inches of clear passage space (wider doorways),
    • one bathroom accessible by wheelchair,
  • Two Cape Cod style houses, and one ranch style house will be built that blend in with the surrounding neighborhood and will include height restrictions of  1 ½ stories tall,
  • Permitted through the Commonwealth of Massachusetts as a joint application with the Town of Falmouth and Falmouth Housing Trust, because of the 1-acre parcel that will leave each house approximately 1/3 of an acre,
  • Project includes a Cape Cod RTA bus-stop on the northern tip of the lot, along Rt. 28, for improved transportation options for the entire neighborhood.

Total project cost:  $650,000

  • Leaders: $50,000 and over
  • Benefactors: $10,000 – $49,999
  • Sponsors: $3,000 – $9,999
  • Donors: $1,000 – $2,999
  • Supporters: up to $999

Your support will fund upgrades to the project; solar energy arrays on each of the three houses, and landscaping that will include foundation and privacy plantings;

  • Solar Package per house (3):  $30,000 or ($90,000)
  • Increased privacy and foundation plantings:  $15,000
  • Flowering and evergreen tree plantings:  $20,000
